Microsoft Flow is an workflow tool which helps you automate processes between over 200 connected sources, boosting efficiency by reducing the need for manual intervention.

With a library of existing templates already available to use, and the option to craft your own flow completely from scratch, your imagination really is the limit for what Flow can do!

At the I.T. team we have replaced our paper-based approval systems with a fully digitised Microsoft Flow solution, which has resulted in:

  • Reduced paper use in the office
  • No more requests getting lost under other paperwork
  • Much quicker approvals, able to be done on-the-go

These are all kicked off by a team member filling out a Microsoft form (accessed in Sharepoint, through Teams, or on-the-go on their mobile).

These form results then enter into a Microsoft Flow process based on the contents.

For example our Expense Claim form sends off a request for manager approval, which once approved will notify the accounts team all the while keeping the original requester in the loop.

Our Incident Notification form fires off an email to our Health, Safety and Wellbeing committee so they are instantly given the information they need to investigate further.

Whether you want to get a text each time your manager sends you an email, save new Facebook posts from your company page into an Excel spreadsheet, or upload any attachments received to One Drive, Flow can help.

In fact, the hardest part is figuring out what you need! If you have any questions about Microsoft Flow, please get in touch with our team to find out more, or check out the Microsoft website here: http://flow.microsoft.com/ .
